We moved into a new office space in February and we recently hosted an event that gave us the push we needed to give our office a personal touch. Here are some ways that you can enhance your office environment.

Separate the Space
It’s important to separate an open space into specific areas, as these areas have different functions. We separated our space into three areas. We added chairs and a table with magazines near the entrance as a waiting area for our clients. We added a conference table to the center of the office as an area for clients and employees to gather for meetings, etc. The third area is an open seating plan for our employees which encourages the exchange of ideas amongst everyone.

Add Motivation
I’m sure you’ve seen a quote or two pasted up on the walls of just about every home or business. This can add consistent motivation and positive vibes to the office. We had three of our best website designs printed and mounted on stretch canvas and hung them on the wall near the waiting area. This can keeps you motivated to be creative and be a reminder of the good work that you can do.

Bring Nature Inside
Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year, but if you can’t be outside enjoying it, bring nature inside. Brighten up your space by opening the shades and letting some natural light in. This can increase productivity levels and boost everyone’s mood. Adding some fresh scents and pleasing aesthetics with some colorful bouquets of flowers can add to a positive office environment.

Have Fun
When the daily grind gets to be too much, it’s important to step away and take a break. Embrace these breaks by having fun! Find something that gets you up and moving. We like to hit the dartboard and try to get a game of cricket or 300 in each day. It’s all about finding what works for your company’s culture and enjoying the environment. We’re thinking a stocked bar will be our next project.
