The Maudience team decided to form their first ever fantasy football league. There were skeptics at the beginning with half the league being first time players, but with bragging rights and prizes on the line, everyone eventually bought in. Our league consists of six teams with the top four teams making playoffs and with Week 10 in the books, the playoff picture is far from clear. Mark and Sam seem to have cashed their tickets to the playoffs (barring a major collapse), but are still battling for the top seed. The last two playoff spots are wide open with the rest of the league no more than a game and a half apart of each other.

The Injury Bug
From the beginning injuries have changed the landscape of our league while some teams have been fortunate and others have been decimated. Some of the big names injured this season include: Andrew Luck, Arian Foster, Jamaal Charles, Le’Veon Bell, Ben Roethlisberger, Tony Romo, and more.

The Waiver Wire
In the beginning the free agent pool was relatively untouched by most teams until the benefits became more clear. Our top two teams are almost solely built on free agents, which shows that proper research and swift action pays off. As the weeks continue, its importance will only grow.

Team Allegiances
With every fantasy football league there is always team allegiances that either pay huge dividends or come back to haunt you. Mark and Melissa have experienced the benefit while Greg and Sam have experienced major backlash. Mark takes ownership of the top defense thanks to the Broncos. Melissa’s Bears allegiance has recently paid dividends with Alshon Jeffery’s resurgence. Sam has owned two great RB’s from the Jets and Patriots but his Dolphin fandom forced his hand to drop them. Greg has by far had the strongest ties to his team, owning five different Vikings throughout the year while the rest of the league only lays claim to one.

With the playoffs right around the corner every team eagerly awaits each Sunday.
